PropVey Desktop

Private desktop software for organizing research records

PropVey Desktop is a private application used internally by its owner. It is not sold, licensed or offered to the public, and it has no public accounts or sign-ups.

What the application does

  • Runs locally on the owner's own computer and keeps its records in a local database.
  • Creates verified backups of that database.
  • Optionally saves an encrypted copy of each backup to the owner's own Google Drive, so the records can be recovered if the computer fails.

How PropVey uses Google

When the owner connects Google Drive, PropVey requests only:

  • Access to files PropVey itself creates (Google's drive.file permission). This lets it upload and check its own encrypted backup files. It cannot see, read or change any other files in the Drive.
  • The signed-in account's email address, used only to show which Google account is connected.

No Google data is sent to any PropVey server; PropVey has none. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
